Rich started in the fire protection business from the ground up as a fire sprinkler system installation professional before earning his degree in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to further his passion for fire safety.

Richard Hooton’s expertise in the field has led to top-level industrial, commercial, and multi-unit residential fire protection engineering design commissions with local, national, and international firms.
